Within hours of a natural disaster occurring anywhere in the world, a RAPID UK rescue team of self-sufficient, highly-trained and experienced experts can be assembled and en route to deploy its unique life-saving skills. These often hazardous missions are manned by dedicated volunteers who, through rapid mobilisation and intervention, aim to save lives. RAPID UK does not receive any special funding from the UK government and their volunteers pay for most of their own rescue equipment, clothing and expenses.
